Pure Pulse Heart Rate
It is very accurate at tracking heart rate for various activities, such as running, dance or hiit exercises. When you are not exercising you should wear it loosely. Once you are ready to work out tighten the band to begin tracking your heart rate. The Pure Pulse feature also allows you to get more out of your workout by using heart rate zones.
Cardio Fitness Level
Fitbit calculates your cardio fitness level by combining your age and gender and comparing them to other people within the same age and gender. There are 6 fitness levels which you can fall into, ranging from poor to great. You can’t see your cardio fitness level on your tracker, you have to see it on the Fitbit app. Also, you might not see your level in the beginning just give it a few days to calculate your level and score.
Call, Text and Calendar Alerts
The Fitbit Charge 2 is compatible to receive notifications from iOS and Android smartphones. You can receive basic texts, both iMessage and SMS. Any incoming calls will show a contact name or the phone number. The calendar alerts will come from your calendar app on your mobile device, it’s a very nice feature to keep you on top of all your important dates.
All call, text and calendar alerts will send a vibration to make sure you are notified. If you feel a vibration you can turn the wrist towards you to view the notification. Notifications can only be seeing after one minute on your tracker so make sure to look if you are awaiting an important call!
The SmartTrack feature automatically detects various exercises such as walking, running, elliptical and outdoor running. It also autodetects many sports such as soccer, basketball, and tennis. Dancing, Zumba, and other aerobic workouts are also autodetected by the Fitbit Charge 2.
